About the Miami Marlins
Entering the 2010 season, the Miami Marlins have never won the National League's East Division and they've only been to the postseason twice, both times as the wild card. Despite that the franchise has still won two World Series titles, 1997 and 2003. The Marlins, also known as the "Fish," entered the Major Leagues in 1993. Despite being a young franchise, Marlin pitchers have tossed four no-hitters.
They are also the first MLB team to have their own dance/cheerleading squad, the Marlins Mermaids. The franchise currently plays at Sun Life Stadium, but in 2012 they will move into Marlins Ballpark. Also at that time they will change their name to the Miami Marlins. The Marlins are led by Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla.
